Halloween

Halloween originated from an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain, celebrated over 2,000 years ago in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The Celts believed that on the night of October 31st, the boundary between the living and the dead became thin, allowing spirits to return to the world. People lit bonfires and wore costumes to ward off ghosts. Over time, Samhain mixed with Christian traditions such as All Saints’ Day, and gradually evolved into the modern Halloween we celebrate today.
