LAWYER COMPETITION

Last Saturday was a day to remember for our class. Early in the morning, we
traveled to Modena to go to a local school. We were there for a special
competition about freedom of expression, which means the right to say what
we think.
When we arrived, the school was full of students. During the first part of the
day, we met some professional journalists. They told us many stories about
their jobs. They explained that writing the truth is very important for everyone.
We learned that we must always be careful with the news we read and that
sharing our ideas is a beautiful thing. It was very interesting to listen to them.
After the meetings, it was time for the most important moment: the award
ceremony. All the classes waited in a big room. Many different schools had
created projects for this competition, and the judges had to choose the best
ones.
We were very nervous, but also excited. Finally, they called our name! Our
class was chosen as one of the winners. We went to the stage together to get
our prize. We felt so proud because we worked very hard on our project.
This trip was a fantastic experience. We learned a lot about our rights and we
had a lot of fun together as a group. We will never forget this victory in
Modena!
